Institute Awards and Honours These awards recognize the contribution of our alumni to the Alma mater by their collaborations, endowed services, mentoring and perceiving the needs of the institute for its development and growth in an active notable and sustained manner. General Criteria for all awards 1. As long as any alumnus is employed at NIT Raipur and their first blood relations (son/daughter/brother/sister) are not eligible for any of these awards. 2. Any person acquitted by the court of law/any case is pending against him/her is not eligible for these awards. The proposer and seconder are responsible to check and verify. 3. The award will consist of a certificate and memento. 4. A person who has received any one of these awards will be eligible for nomination after 5 years. However, a rare and exceptional case will be considered based upon the credentials which has provided a name and fame in the international level/national level. 5. The decision of the selection committee of NIT Raipur in this regard will be final and binding. 6. The nominee’s involvement in the institute with respect to joint research collaboration with faculty, mentoring students/faculty in innovation and entrepreneur ventures, contribution towards donation collection towards NIT Raipur Donation Fund and any endowment created will also be considered during the selection of awardees. 7. The Young Achiever Alumnus Award will recognize alumni age 40 or younger who have demonstrated emerging and unique innovation, creativity, and success in his or her chosen career. Selections are based on success in chosen careers; however, a demonstrated commitment to excellence in NIT Raipur and opportunity for future involvement will also be considered. Eligibility - Any person who has received a degree from the Institute is eligible to be considered for the Young Achiever Alumnus Award, except in the following cases: A. An alumnus/alumna should not be more than 40 years of age. Age calculation will be based on 30th October (Age should not exceed more than 40 years on this date).
