Who we are

We are growing conglomerate of professionals; maintaining knowledge bank aimed at harnessing the collective intelligence. We drive strength form indelible imprints of our college life at National Institute of Technology, Raipur, Chattisgarh, India. The Institute’s foundation was laid by the first President of India in 1956 and inauguration by first Prime Minister of India. Alumni Association of GEC NIT Raipur has an outreach to over 22,000+ alumni passed out from 1960 batch onwards; majority spread in allover India and more than 19 countries worldwide. Alumni Association of GEC NIT Raipur is registered society with statutory authorities on October 27, 2006 broadly defines the vision in its Memorandum of Association. The Governing/Management Committee is elected every two years. The headquarter of Alumni Association is at Golden Tower (Its funding is being catered for by the Alumni i.e. contribution by Alumni to their Alma Mater) within the NIT Raipur Campus.

What we do

The Management/Executive Committee translates the objectives set forth in our Memorandum of Association into activities. Broadly these cover - holding annual meet with focus on Diamond, Golden and Silver Jubilee Reunions each year, extending Helping Hand - exigencies in particular, organising workshops, seminars, nurturing relations with the Institute, offering technology incubator facility, encouraging the Alumni Chapters worldwide for fun & fellowship and harnessing collective intelligence. We participate in various events worldwide and within the Institute’s campus. Our Alumni offers guest lectures and guidance to the students that include mentoring, startup ventures and more. We serve as a bridge between the institute & industry for the benefit of upcoming students in their professional endeavors.

How we do

The elected Management/Executive Committee leads all activities during their two-year tenure, including statutory Annual General Body Meeting along with Annual Alumni Day in synchronization with Diamond, Golden, Coral and Silver Jubilee Reunions of respective batches at Institute Campus annually. Associations’ Helping hand, Golden Tower and other activities are spearheaded by passionate alumni. Decisions on various initiatives, such as Student Educational Assistance< Helping Hand (Financial Assistance and career development, are made by the EC through regular meetings. Outstation chapter activities are monitored, and fellowship events are encouraged through 130 WhatsApp groups. Outstanding alumni achievements are recognized. Innovative initiatives are driven by alumni teams worldwide. All activities are coordinated from the Alumni Association Headquarter at Golden Tower, NIT Raipur Campus. Fundraising, primarily from alumni and organizations during events, along with lifetime membership fees and revenue from rentals and the guest house, sustains routine expenditure.
